Der in Berlin geborene irische Bass Fionn Ó hAlmhain ist hauptsächlich in Co. Wicklow,   Irland aufgewachsen, wo auch sein Verhältnis zur Musik und zur Bühnenkunst begann.

Durch den Irischen Dudelsack, die Uilleann Pipes, gelangte er zuerst zur Musik und schloss bei der Technological University Dublin ein Studium in irischer Musik ab. Während dieser Zeit begann er im Universitätschor zu singen und fing bald an Gesang unter Dr. Robert Alderson zu studieren. Nach 4 Jahren im Chor der Irischen National Oper und diversen Partien in Irland, u.a. für das Blackwater Valley Opera Festival in Lismore, Opera Collective Ireland, und Opera in the Open, studierte er an der Royal Academy of Music in London unter Prof. Mark Wildman, wurde dort Mitglied der Royal Academy Opera und empfing auch das LRAM für Gesangspädagogik. 

In der Zwischenzeit ist er in Irland und im Vereinigten Königreich sowie in Kroatien, Singapur, und Japan erschienen. Zu den Partien zählten u.a. Sarastro, Zuniga, Sparafucile, Der Astrologe/Abt in Benjamin Britten’s Burning Fiery Furnace, und der Immigrationsoffizier in der Irischen Uraufführung von Jonathan Dove’s Flight.

Er ist auch im Konzertsaal tätig und unter diversen Barockpartien von Händel, Bach, Purcell, und Buxtehude zählen auch das Verdi Requiem, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, und Haydn’s Schöpfung zu seinem Repertoire.

In Rezension wird oft das sonorös dunkle und presente Timbre seiner Stimme gepriesen. 

Berlin born, Irish bass Fionn Ó hAlmhain grew up mainly in Co. Wicklow, Ireland where he also first spread his roots in music and stagecraft. 

His first Musical love came through the uilleann pipes, the national instrument of Ireland alongside the harp. He pursued studies in Irish music performance on the pipes at the Technological University of Dublin and graduated with a BMus. 

During this time he began to sing with the university's choral society which led to his being taken on for vocal tuition by Dr. Robert Alderson, who took great interest in his voice.

After 4 years working with the Irish National Opera chorus and various roles in Ireland, among others for the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival, Opera Collective Ireland, and Opera in the Open, he went on to pursue postgraduate studies in vocal performance under Prof. Mark Wildman at the Royal Academy of Music in London where he completed both his Masters degree and the Royal Academy Opera School as well as a teaching Licentiate (LRAM). 

Fionn has appeared on stages across Ireland and the UK as well as in Switzerland, Croatia, Singapore, and Japan. His roles have included Sarastro, Colline, Zuniga, Sparafucile, the Abbot/Astrologer in Britten's Burning Fiery Furnace and the immigration officer in the Irish premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Flight. 

He is also active as a concert soloist and alongside various baroque parts by Handel, Bach, Purcell, and Buxtehude his repertoire also includes the Verdi Requiem, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle and Haydn's Creation.
